1/2 Day Mental Health Awareness
Basic Mental Health Awareness training is our introductory half-day course to raise awareness of mental health in the workplace or learning environment. Through a combination of presentations, discussions and interactive activities, participants will gain an acute awareness and understanding of exactly what mental health is all about, and an appreciation of how to dispel the stigma surrounding it.
With this basic knowledge of mental health problems they will be better equipped to look after their own mental health and wellbeing. They’ll also be more confident in their abilities to help someone who may be experiencing a mental health issue themselves.
"Understanding is the first step to recovery"
100% tailored training
We appreciate that every workplace, every educational environment is different, and that therefore there is no one standard set of mental health stressors, pressures and triggers. With this in mind, we aim wherever possible to tailor the exact content and format in order that you’ll gain maximum value from it.
What the course covers
During this 4-hour course we’ll help you to understand some of the most common mental health issues that affect people at the workplace and in education today:
- What is mental health?
- Factors that affect mental health

- The skills and knowledge to be able to effectively help people living with a mental health issue.
- Stress and stress management
